Your child will explore
and discover the natural treasures of the local marine
environment! Through dynamic hands on lessons, campers
will have a blast learning the marine ecosystem and
being young marine biologists! We blend beach activities
and ocean sports into our lessons and breaks because
the best way to learn is by hands-on experience and
having fun!
Each day we will be
in the field and getting wet. A few of the activities
we do are:
*Visits to tide pools, estuarine and sandy shoreline
ecosystems.
*Dolphin watch from kayaks.
*Help Surfrider’s blue water task force test
the quality of water at each beach we visit.
*Learn to work in teams and make new friends.
*Test water clarity, sample the ocean floor, and more!
*Learn surfing or boogie boarding to emphasize the
concepts learned in ocean waves.
*With masks and snorkels see how much amazing life
there is under the ocean’s surface!
*Learn fish anatomy and make fish prints.
